Ordering Policy

The following policies have been put in place in order to save you, the customer, time and money. Customers that ignore common sense order regulations drain valuable customer service and technical service resources at the expense of hundreds of other customers. Siemens Water Technologies, the company behind The Purchase Advantage website, tries very hard to provide value to customers with low prices, thousands of stocked products and accurate technical support information. We have thousands of satisfied customers and we hope to count you among them.

  • We have a $50.00 order minimum amount not including shipping and tax.
  • Please do not submit orders and then ask for pricing or a shipping estimate. We process thousands of orders and it is difficult and costly to stop orders once submitted only to later resume the same order with different products or shipping charges. Effective Monday, June 9th 2008, requests for pricing adjustments or shipping estimates requested after orders have been submitted will be ignored. Customers must submit an RFQ asking for volume pricing or shipping estimates before the order is placed. No shipping adjustment will be applied once an orders is processed and shipped.

  • There is an "additional order instructions" field that customers can fill out during the ordering process. This field is reserved for shipping instructions or order clarifying information. Product or shipping questions should be asked via the "Contact Us" section BEFORE the order is submitted. The following requests will be ignored:
    • Requests for us to call you when an order ships
    • Requests to cancel an order if the ordered product is not in stock or does not meet another criteria
    • Questions about whether or not an ordered product fits or is appopriate for a specific system or application
    • Requests to ship via the US Postal Service

  • Customers must call customer service at 1-800-208-3554 to check available stock before requesting shipping other than standard ground shipping. Customers that request UPS Red (overnight) or UPS Blue (2-day) shipping without checking stock may not receive their products in the requested time frame as we will need to acquire stock before the order can be shipped. No refunds will be given under this situation and because of the volatile nature of inventory amounts, no specific delivery day can be guaranteed. Of course expedited shipping costs more money. We do not apply extra surcharges for expedited shipping.

  • Customers are required to check lead times before placing an order. If a customer attempts to cancel an order due to an actual lead time that is longer than quoted by Siemens, the order can be cancelled at no charge to the customer. If a customer wants to cancel an order due to lead time or other issue without first checking lead time before ordering, a restocking fee or order cancellation fee may be applied at Siemens discretion not to exceed 25% of the purchase price. If the order has already shipped, a 25% restocking fee will apply to the order. No exceptions! Customers must receive confirmation from customer service of an order cancellation. Returns initiated 30 days or later after the invoice date will be subject to additional restocking fees.

  • Coupon code values cannot be applied after orders are submitted.

  • Hard copies of purchase orders are required for orders greater than $2500 and can be faxed to 978-856-3826. Please reference your order number on your fax.

  • Orders cannot be placed by phone. www.thepurchaseadvantage.com is protected with 128-bit encryption and Siemens will never sell your personal information.

  • "Shipped Best Way With Cost Added To Your Invoice" does NOT mean free shipping. It means that we will ship your order with the least expensive method of shipping and the cost will be added to your final invoice.

  • Companies that are tax exempt must include their company name as a part of their order. Your company name as ordered must match the company on your tax exemption certificate for your tax exeption request to be accepted. www.thepurchaseadvantage.com does not have the capability of waiving tax as a part of the ordering process but once we have received your tax exemption certificate, sales tax will be removed automatically once your order is submitted.

Orders cancelled by the customer as a result of the customer misunderstanding or ignoring one of the above policies, will be charged a restocking fee.
