Bag Filters are a suitable techology for gross particulate filtration applications including drinking water applications and non-critical system pretreatment. Although bag filters have lower efficiency ratings than most cartridge filters (nominal rated bag filters are in the 50-70% efficiency range compared to nominal rated cartridges which are generally 70%-90% efficent), bag filters tend to have higher flow rate capabilities at lower pressure drops, higher particle loading capabilities and lower prices.

FSI bag housings in both ASME code and non-code are available with NPT and ANSI flange connections in a variety of sizes. These larger housings are suitable for larger commercial and industrial settings.
Eaton polypropylene filter housings are perfect for seawater applications or corrosive solution filtration as 100% of the fluid contact materials are polypropylene. Both simplex and skid mounted duplex configurations are available with 2" NPTF connections.
Pentek filter housings are perfect for residential point-of-entry applications or small commercial applications. Pentek bag filter housings are both durable and inexpensive, with low priced filters available in a variety of micron ratings.
